This exciting new post will provide leadership and support as part of HEE’s North East and Yorkshire AHP programme. The programme has been established to provide regional leadership and support on recognising, developing, and expanding the AHP workforce, and is delivered by an integrated national and regional portfolio team in the North East and Yorkshire.

You will be responsible for delivery of an assigned portfolio which will include a range of implementation activities for the programme, including:

  • Series of national webinars and events.
  • Development of suite of case studies across the professions.
  • Effective engagement and support to integrated care systems, including AHP Councils and Faculties.
  • Professional AHP advice and support
  • Working as part of a team, this will involve engagement with health and social care leaders, employers, education providers, professional bodies and others.

    As a fellowship, you will also be supported with range of multi-professional development opportunities and activities with other fellows in the North East and Yorkshire and nationally.

    This post forms part of HEE’s regional and national AHP Leadership Team, providing multi-professional specialist support and advice to HEE and stakeholders.

    What you will bring to HEE

    This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with leadership, project management and problem-solving skills.

    To be successful in this post we are looking for an applicant who has:

  • Current professional registration (HCPC or General Osteopathic Council).
  • Master’s level degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex environments.
  • High level understanding of the NHS and current issues facing AHP workforce suppl
  • Proven ability to lead, empower and motivate others.
  • Experience of collaborative working relationships with stakeholders from a range of professional backgrounds.
  • Experience of working at a senior level within the NHS or other health and social care sectors.

    Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8a with a full-time starting salary of £45,753, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
