In the Digital era, security can no longer be an afterthought. This trailblazing tech scale-up is built on the principle that security is paramount. Their unique platform ensures that application security is monitored throughout the entire SDLC, providing round-the-clock defence for code as it is being built.
Your New Company
This is one of the most exciting US Software Firms to have landed in Belfast in recent years. Still fresh on the scene, they have already built a high-performing team of technology professionals. Working with a cutting-edge tech stack (Java, React, Node, AWS) their Belfast team engineers a best-in-class security platform. This is a young, energetic team working in a fast-paced, product-development environment.
Your New Role
This job is a tough one to describe; you could call it "Agile Project Manager” or "Scrum Master” (Agile evangelists close your ears!). In truth, it's probably a combination of both. These guys work in an Agile (Scrum) environment, with fortnightly releases. As the Project Manager / Scrum Master, you will work with multiple cross-functional teams (Developers, Product Manager, Product Designer), scoping, planning, tracking and delivering software projects. You will coordinate teams across multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously!
You will wear the Scrum Master's hat; leading Agile ceremonies, planning sprints, grooming the backlog etc. You will define and drive Agile best-practice for the teams.
The Agile Project Manager is the communicator within the development team and also owns communications with other project stakeholders (Customer Success + Product Management / Marketing)
Your Skills + Experience
The Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master will need solid experience in a similar role. You will ideally have a background in software development, but definitely have 5-10 years' experience leading cross-functional teams in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban). You will have sound knowledge of modern software development practices. You will be highly proficient in project-management tools; Jira/Confluence/Rally and hold relevant certifications (CSM, Prince2 Agile). You are a seasoned Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master, comfortable working in a complex technical environment across multiple projects. You will have the credibility to influence and challenge developers and help them thrive.
Why You Should Apply
The Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master will join a new-entrant Cyber-Security firm in growth mode. They are doing work that nobody else is doing locally. You will play a key, stand-alone role in Belfast ensuring the successful development of their cutting-edge security platform. They advocate flexible and remote working, whilst providing a brilliant office space for collaboration. You will receive a very generous salary (no band!) plus equity + healthcare.
