We need a Assistant Underwriter to join us in London or Northampton. Driving profitable growth and reinventing our products by making sure we have unique analytical insight into our customers and how the account performs. With over 250,000 policies managed by the team, you’ll be critical in helping us manage one of the largest SME accounts in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • case underwriting of referrals
  • internal and external audit support
  • working with segment underwriters to provide technical knowledge where required for product changes and new initiatives
  • reviewing book transfers, undertaking new opportunity analysis, design & feedback to segment underwriters
  • wording reviews and document updates (NTPs, summary of covers, wordings)
  • drafting policy wordings and endorsements, considering the Insurance Distribution Directive
  • analysing our large losses, identifying trends and educating the wider team
