Our Geotechnical team is involved in some of the UK’s most high profile, complex and stimulating projects that are diverse and technically demanding. We have an enviable reputation in the delivery of some of the UK’s and indeed the world’s most prestigious and challenging projects. Our current client portfolio includes Highways England, Transport for London, Local Authorities, the Environment Agency, Canal & Rivers Trust, Water Companies, Network Rail and selected Civil Engineering Contractors for whom we undertake the planning, design and supervision of geotechnical engineering solutions for a variety of schemes including, managed motorways, harbours, ports, water treatment plants, reservoirs, rail electrification, station upgrades and structures in a wide range of geological conditions.
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Instrumentation & Monitoring (I&M) leader to join our GIS, Geospatial and Digital Data Capture team in London as an Associate Technical Director.
Reporting to the Technical Director of I&M, your primary role will be to co-ordinate I&M data delivery on major projects. This will include working at project office locations in London and Birmingham.
You will work with project digital engineering leads to coordinate and manage monitoring projects across a wide variety of sectors including geotechnical, structural and environmental monitoring across large multi-disciplinary engineering design projects. This will involve liaising with colleagues and clients at all levels to understand project and client requirements and coordinating delivery of these through leading digital delivery resources in the UK and India.
You should be able to undertake strategic planning and decisions to deliver I&M best practice, project efficiencies and added value to our clients.
You will have a deep knowledge of I&M and its associated technologies and an understanding of the Geospatial market in relation to natural and built asset consulting. In addition, you will be required to liaise with GIS resources to deliver visualisation tools for the data.
You will coordinate the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, time-frame and quality targets, meeting or exceeding client expectations, promoting and marketing all facets of Arcadis’ services during interfaces with clients and other sectors and disciplines, contributing towards the achievement of the divisional business plan and to build networks within the industry.
We anticipate that the successful candidate for this role will progress into a senior management role within our Digital Data Capture business.
