Deloitte’s Digital Tax Solutions Team (“DTS”) has a market leading reputation in London and across Europe. We are the largest of the Big 4 tax process and technology departments and demand for our services is growing rapidly. DTS brings together expertise in the areas of risk, compliance and technology in order to address the challenges of multijurisdictional tax operations.

In response to significant success and an increased emphasis on technology and innovation in a rapidly evolving market, DTS is recruiting Product Managers to undertake new project work within our business.

Your Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate professional with experience in Azure cloud services and DevOps practices to lead and help us mature our DevOps practice across disciplines. Your will have broad skills in implementing cloud and on-premise solutions for various application architectures, scripting, database and other data services.

This role will implement and support cloud solutions on MS Azure and processes leveraged by large number of applications hosted in our environment. You will work with development teams to help increase automation and streamline build & deployment processes, apply best practices & principles. Additionally, you will also implement and maintain additional tooling and contribute to our deployment objectives. This role will engage with wider Deloitte Cloud and Security teams to ensure compliance and alignment with firm policy and assess impact of future strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud solutions to create Azure resources and automate provisioning
  • Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Industry standard tools and services
  • Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts
  • Implement and stay abreast of Cloud DevOps industry best practices and tooling
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new system layers utilizing a first-principles understanding of high complexity compute environments.
  • Architect, develop, deploy, and evolve CI and CD systems in multiple environments (DEV,QA,STG.PROD)
  • Setting up or managing backups and patching across the environments
  • Review the code and coach the team members where necessary

    Location: You will be based in a Deloitte London office, however occasional travel may be required to regional and international offices

    Your professional experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or related discipline
  • Prefer MS Azure DevOps Engineer Expert and/or similar certification
  • At least 6 years’ software development experience including 2 years’ as a lead or DevOps Specialist
  • Strong experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services such as Azure storage solutions, app service environments and KeyVault
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps and Git or similar development repositories
  • Experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Experience with MongoDB desired
  • Experience with automation through PowerShell or other scripting languages
  • Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and responding relative to performance and availability of applications
  • Working knowledge of related technologies including encryption, IPsec, VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, proxy services, LAN/WAN connectivity
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Knowledge of the concepts and principles behind DevOps, SRE, CICD, Agile, Lean, etc
