About us


Our specialist Debt & Capital Advisory (DCA) Team is a team of over 30 people nationally, focussed on helping clients to deliver a successful finance raising. Whether it be a refinance, funding growth or releasing equity, we help clients to reduce balance sheet stress, generate cash and find the best source of capital to support their business objectives. We are now looking to further grow the regional team with the addition of a manager to be based in Scotland.

DCA is part of the wider Business Restructuring Services (“BRS”) practice, the leading restructuring practice in the UK, which over the years has advised on the most iconic and complex restructuring situations. We are a growing team and the opportunities for career progression are significant.

Our BRS practice is part of our wider Deals business. We work closely across Deals (and wider PwC teams) to ensure we give the best advice to our clients. Given the nature of our services, the work in Deals is varied, often fast paced and calls on commercial, analytical and interpersonal skills. 


About the role


As a Manager, with a primary focus on DCA engagements, you’ll work as part of a diverse team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex financing issues from strategy to execution. While predominantly focused on DCA, successful candidates will also be expected to work closely with the wider BRS team on a broad range of restructuring engagements, gaining experience across a range of transactions.

    Essential skills and experience required

  • An awareness of the core suite of debt finance products available to corporate clients in the mid-market together with an understanding of the appropriate use

  • Relevant recent experience within the financial services industry (eg. Bank or Alternative Lender)

  • A desire to participate and drive marketing and business development in the debt and capital advisory space, strong relationship building skills and the ability to maintain a strong network in the market

  • Sound financial analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel

  • Awareness of restructuring, plus a genuine interest in how businesses work

  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with all levels

  • Flexibility in terms of working across a diverse range of industries and roles

  • A commitment to continued personal development

  • Proven project and time management skills

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Flexibility where required as to working location

  • Report writing skills
