COWI Global Advisory provides project management support, financial and economic analyses as well as policy studies to international organisations and financing institutions within the sectors of green transition, environment, energy, transport, and climate action. We provide high quality advice to our customers because we build on the solid technical expertise of our consulting engineer business, which counts more than 8,000 employees worldwide. 

You will be part of a commercially focused Business Development (BD) unit, supporting the staffing of international teams for project proposals. You will preferably be working out of our offices in Brussels, Belgium, or the UK, however, we welcome candidates with a working base in all European countries.

You will work together with BD specialists, and be tasked with a wide range of assignments structured around three main activities: i) identifying and engaging senior experts for positions in project teams; ii) evaluating experts' experience against Terms of Reference requirements; iii) preparing CVs for presentation to Clients.


To succeed in this position, you have experience within business development and expert search and selection in relation to international technical assistance assignments financed by international donors and International Financial Institutions (IFIs). 

Furthermore, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a recruitment role in the International Development or Advisory Services sector
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms such as Linkedin Premium, Linkedin Recruiter, Assortis, DevelopmentEx, DevelopmentAid
  • Proven track record of identifying and engaging senior experts for key positions in International Development or Advisory Services projects
  • Proven ability to evaluate experts' experience against Terms of Reference requirements
  • Proven ability to write commercial English
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in pro-active communication with senior-level professionals
  • Track record of managing deadlines
  • Solid command of MS Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in securing key experts and preparing their CVs in winning proposals for projects financed by the EU or IFIs or bilateral/multilateral donors, is an advantage
