Healthcare Assistant - Firtree House, Tunbridge Wells

  • Day Shift - 8am - 8pm
  • Night Shift 8pm - 8am
  • ​Full time, 36 hours
  • £9 per hour (Work 11 hours and get paid for 12. Your contracted rate of £9, becomes £9.72 with your paid breaks on top. *applies for 12 hours shifts only*)
  • We regularly Covid test all our residents and staff

    Firtree House Nursing Home provides the highest standards of nursing care for up to 42 elderly residents, including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care. The home has strong community links and is situated a short distance from the centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

    Firtree House is an attractive property that was sympathetically converted and extended into a care home in the 1960s, since its conversion the home has undergone a major refurbishment plan and now provides an attractive, safe and stable environment in which staff and residents are actively involved in the day to day decision making of the home.


    An excellent and exciting opportunity to join our Firtree House Nursing Home as a Care Assistant! You will work part of a great team and be making a difference to our residents by providing excellent care standards, taking pride in treating our residents as individuals. 
    As a Care Assistant at Caring Homes, you will help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. Responsible for supporting our elderly residents with daily living, providing support and companionship, assisting with their physical and personal needs – where every day is different and rewarding!

    We offer fantastic training and development opportunites, each of our care workers work towards their Care Certificate, giving them the confidence to deliver first-class care. 
    We also undertake a wide range of diverse training, from manual handling to infection control and safeguarding. 

    We have an extensive training team, consisting of regional trainers as well as a network of in-home trainers, able to deliver programmes to colleagues.

    In 2015 we launched our own dementia training programme, called ‘My World’. This is accredited by City and Guilds and was awarded the Princess Royal Training Award, every employee is given the opportunity to learn and develop
