Community Nurse


A very excited opportunity for a Registered Community Nurse to join a rapidly growing Community Hospital. Delivering the highest standards of patient care, met through our innovative approach to improving patient outcomes. We are now looking to expand and develop our nursing team. Our organisation prevents, diagnoses and treats many medical and surgical conditions, offering a range of clinical services.

You will be supporting the Operational Director, not only in the smooth running of the services through clinical working but also in maintaining quality standards in our clinics and in the management of them.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example as an ambassador for the expectation of Quality Care.
  • Coordinate the day to day running of clinical services, addressing challenges and promoting a positive working environment.
  • Recognise staff talent; nurturing junior members of staff and mentoring them to be the best they can be.
  • Utilise your clinical skills to meet each individual patient’s need and role model this behaviour to others.
  • Act as Team Leader for a number of the staff, participating in the management and development of the team by undertaking 1-1’s, yearly appraisals, sickness management, roster allocation, training sessions. * Participate in clinical governance: implementing actions based on incidents or complaints, undertaking audits and reviews of services provided.
  • Other duties as identified by the organisation in line with education, training and competence.
  • Requirements

  • You must have an NMC Pin
  • Ideally have a qualification in teaching and assessment, together with some mentoring experience or a Level 2 or 3 management qualification.
  • Be experienced one or more of the speciality’s mentioned.
  • Have excellent clinical skills
  • Preferably 3 years post registration experience within an acute hospital setting
  • Have experience in directly supervising/line managing a team of nurses
