The programme will start with a Yeovil site on Jan 11th, but will soon ramp up to a number more sites across the region. They will require x1 Pharmacist and x6 Health Care Professionals at each site at any one time, and will ramp up to cover 7 days per week/12 hours per day. It’s been cited as a three-month project, although we would anticipate it lasting longer. Part time hours will be considered, and we don’t expect anyone to work a 7-day week!
This role will involve meeting and greeting and screening candidates, and then delivering the vaccine. Full training on administering the vaccine will be provided, practical, and onsite. There will also be online training too, and you must have completed both our online training, plus the client’s online training, and have Hep B immunity (handling sharps).
Each location will be expected to complete 12 vaccinations per hour, allowing 5 minutes per patient, and appropriate PPE will also be provided.
The patients will have a fifteen minute observation period after receiving the vaccine to ensure they do not have an adverse reaction. The Health Care Professionals will be expected to cover all aspects of this, and there will be a responsible pharmacist on site.
