Based in Warrington but expected to travel to other sites.
My client is a successful manufacturing company with over 50 years of trading as a Group. There are 3 different sites in the group spread across the North of UK. Due to a re-structure of the business and plans to expand to the next level, they are looking for an experienced Group Operations Manager to lead the way, this is a new role within the company.
Oversee all Warehouse operations across 3 sites, look for ways to improve stock management and develop team/processes
Drive recruitment across all departments to grow management team and increase productivity/develop training.
Oversee H&S for the group ensuring processes are maintained
Manage day to day facilities management for all sites
Oversee Servicing of all equipment to ensure they are compliant with legal regulations
Working closely with Production department to assist in ensuring quality control, manufacturing processes are best followed and productively correct.
Work at Senior Management level implementing the core business strategies
Oversight of Procurement, assisting where necessary with stock control across sites etc
Clear management of budgets within each department
A solid understanding of lean manufacturing / six sigma / HSE.
Previous experience implementing new policies and procedures across a medium sized business at Operations Manager level
Warehouse Stock/Inventory management background is desirable
Willing to travel across 3 sites on a weekly basis (all based in the North - maximum 2 hours travel time between each site).
