Rexel UK have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our HR Department to provide business leaders with comprehensive and expert coaching on the day to day management of our colleague’s lifecycle in the business empowering leaders to make effective people decisions, in line with the HR agenda and business requirements.

The Role:

As a HR Advisor for Rexel, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • To deal effectively with all relevant ER queries acting as subject matter expert, managing particularly complex cases where needed, in conjunction with the 1HR team and escalating high risk matters to the relevant stakeholders
  • To pro-actively coach, train and champion best practice to drive a positive colleague lifecycle in keys areas such as induction, performance and conduct in line with Rexel UK policy and procedure, utilising HR systems
  • Work in conjunction with the HR Business Partners delivering various HR and Region-specific projects, such as organisational change, consultation and other ad-hoc work
  • Championing and identifying internal career opportunities and assisting line managers with succession planning with the utilisation of psychometrics
  • Collaborating with business leaders on difficult conversations and ensuring a consistent approach when dealing with matters in line with policy and procedure
  • Identifying gaps and opportunities to improve engagement and culture, supporting the health and well-being of colleagues in the business
  • To ensure compliance with Employment Law regulations in all relevant policies
  • Analyse and report monthly on HR functional activity through KPIs (e.g. absence levels, number of disciplinary cases) and other relevant metrics
  • Manage the administration and coordination of recruitment, welcome days, change forms, exit interviews and other ad-hoc work
  • The Person:

    As a HR Advisor for Rexel, you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience providing pragmatic and commercial HR & ER solutions within a high paced business environment
  • Strong stakeholder management being able to communicate effectively with all levels of the business

  • To be a successful HR Advisor at Rexel, you must have:

  • Good HR knowledge with understanding of employment law
  • Ability to liaise and collaborate to deliver the core HR agenda and People Services standards
  • Data analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to persuade and influence
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise critical items
  • Resilient, adaptable and flexible
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent (or working towards)
  • HRIS Systems knowledge
  • This role is a FULL TIME - PERMANENT POSITION and we offer a pension, life assurance and 25 days holiday.
