We currently have a new position for a Shift Engineer ideally HVAC biased or with a background in Building Maintenance. Our client is also interested in looking at engineers from other industry sectors who have strong skill set with dealing with complex engineering systems or plant.
It is working for the maintenance service provider to the landlord / owners of the data centre and you would be working alongside the data engineers mainly maintaining the critical plant and infrastructure that delivers the cooling and fire life protection services to the building.
There is a large engineering and facilities team on site and you would be a key part of the shift team, providing the Mechanical and HVAC technical expertise covering the plant for the landlord services.
This is commonly known as the "continental shift pattern" and is very popular with engineers as it gives you two clear weekends in each rotational cycle. Each Shift is 12 hours long.
3 days on, 3 nights on, 4 off, 4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights on, 4 off, then repeat the shift pattern.
If you use you holiday strategically you can have 5 two week holidays every year.
This company thrives on recognising talent and promoting from its own ranks and they are not afraid of putting their hand in their pocket when it comes to training.
This role comes with all holiday, pension, mobile, PDA etc. with earning potential in excess of £70,000
There is a lot of overtime and additional shift covers at time and three quarters. (1.75)
We have calculated that just by covering the holidays of your opposite shift colleague you can guarantee a minimum of £6,500 in overtime for starters, and you know that there will be much more than that on top.
If you are a Building Services Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical, HVAC or Mechanical qualification who would like to work outside of London on a rotating shift then please contact us and send in your CV
