My client are looking for a Leadership and Management IQA. You can be based in one of the following locations: Birmingham, Manchester or the South West. This is a field based role.
Responsible for the quality assurance of the full learner journey including where qualifications are present, supporting the area managers in the implementation of the sector-based curriculum across all programmes and improving both the teaching and
training as well as the technical and occupational competence of trainers over time.
The Leadership and Management IQA will confirm occupational and teaching competency of trainers as part of the recruitment process
Deliver role specific and sector-based training as part of a trainers on boarding plan and provide ongoing support during probation
Assess qualifications that are required for the trainers to achieve for example CAVA and EAT
The Leadership and Management IQA will plan and complete observations that covers all points of the learner journey including Enrolment & induction, On-programme teaching, training and assessment and EPA preparation in accordance with the related strategies
Implement, evaluate and improve the delivery of the curriculum including the broader curriculum
The Leadership and Management IQA will review curriculum resource usage ensuring it maintains sector relevance
Carry out deep dives on portfolios including the tracking of learner’s progress over time against their starting point
Carry out sampling of mock assessments based on outcomes, create and update a sampling plan and maintain accurate records for internal audit
The Leadership and Management IQA will carry out qualification sampling as per awarding organisation requirements, create and update a sampling plan and maintain accurate records required for EQA
Carry out sampling of Speaking, listening and communication, create and update a sampling plan and maintain accurate records required for EQA
Carry out observations of exam invigilation to ensure compliant with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records required for EQA
Deliver ongoing support and coaching based on the outcomes of all the sampling activity completed, via 121 or group sessions, face to face and remote
Deliver training around systems / process changes linked to the learner journey
The Leadership and Management IQA will provide input into the planning of a robust CPD plan that covers the teaching of pedagogical content, occupational knowledge and activities that maintain sector currency
Monitor the achievement of planned CPD across all trainers, delivering sessions where applicable
Review assessment outcomes (internal and external) and implement standardisation and training as required
Assessing qualification (CAVA or equivalent)
Internal Quality Assurance qualification (IQA or equivalent)
Teaching qualification at level 5 or commitment to work towards within agreed timescale
Functional Skills level 2 in Maths, English and ICT or equivalent
Sector specific occupational competence
Experience of planning and delivering quality assurance activities
Experience within a WBL / educational environment in the delivery of apprenticeship standards
Experience of working in high demand environments, to targets and tight deadlines
Strong communication and self-motivation skill
Experience of working autonomously
