Rexel UK are currently seeking a Hub Manager to join us in our Peterborough Distribution Hub. You will manage the direction and performance of staff, to ensure that high levels in customer service and operational excellence are delivered. You will lead by example, driving best practice and continual process improvements, ensuring Key Performance Indicators’ and financial budgets are met successfully, recorded and shown versus the P&L.
Translate operational requirements into “Best Practice”, workable solutions, collaborating with key stakeholders to maximise all resources to deliver Logistics and Company objectives.
Drive site policy and procedure to motivate, lead and develop staff to achieve objectives and comply with company policies and procedures, addressing any shortfalls in performance, whilst continually striving for continuous improvement.
Contribute to the effective strategic planning, budgeting and performance management of the business with the ability to look beyond current processes and procedures, identifying opportunities across business silos to ensure compliance, enhance efficiency and performance of the operation.
Effectively plan and manage the available resources within budget to ensure that warehouse and transport operational service levels are met.
In conjunction with Finance, formulate budget and reforecast as necessary, taking ownership to ensure cost control processes and achievement of P&L.
Participate in business projects as required, designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
To oversee and ensure that the co ordination of health & safety, facilities and security are maintained within the Hub .
Interpret and produce KPI’s utilising internal systems - providing relevant reports, information and feedback.
As a key member of the Rexel UK logistics team - Assessing operational supply chain requirements and identifying solutions, supporting and contributing to Group Supply Chain / Logistics department objectives and success through sharing of knowledge and skills and active collaboration with all colleagues.
Understanding of supply chain and fulfilment
Solid experience in Logistic warehouse and transport Operations; Retail, wholesale, or service logistics advantageous.
Awareness of current H&S legislation.
Experience in inventory and stock management processes and controls.
Understanding of WMS, Vehicle tracking and Transport Planning tools
Technical / Functional Skills:
Degree educated (Advantageous)
Ability to interpret and present data/reports in a timely manner
Proactive, with can do attitude and good judgement
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience user of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Power Point.
In depth knowledge of M3 Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions. Good inter personality, leadership and motivation.
