If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our repairs and maintenance team within our MPS Housing division.
Who are we?
MPS has been caring for residents’ homes for over 25 years. As part of the Mears Group we offer partnership solutions and expertise in estate management and property maintenance.
We deliver a range of property services, including delivering reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a general all-round handyman to join our team to work within a busy repairs team. You will be working on individual jobs carrying out general repairs and rectifying any defects to ensure our clients receive a high-quality service.
Ideally, you will need to have the ability to confidently carry out a variety of the below tasks:
Carpentry such as UPVC, lock change, internal door installations, kitchen unit /door repairs, tiling, floor tiles, skirting
Plumbing such as taps, baths, basin, sink repair and installs.
Groundworks – concreating, fence panel installs, half steps, clearances, deep cleans, gardening etc.
Decorating - painting, plastering, re pointing, wallpapering, rendering, and coving etc.
If you have experience of doing any of the above, but not all we would still encourage you to apply!
What you need to have:
Ideally, domestic, housing experience
A relevant trade qualification or “on the job” experience
Full driving licence
