The future doesn’t just happen – Operations Transformation makes it happen – Join our team!
Join our ambitious and pre-eminent Private Sector Operations team, where we couple business design, process design and service design with technology fluency to solve our clients’ biggest challenges, bring the unpredictable and unknown into focus, and turn concepts into reality. We lead on building innovative operating models to help our clients improve lives; reimagining customer journeys and processes to improve business profitability and create amazing customer experiences; and undertake business-wide transformation in a digital age to enable growth and market success.
Our Private Sector Operations team are both business model and industry specialists working across sectors with some of biggest and most exciting organisations in the UK and globally. The strong relationships we have with our clients, in addition to the deep knowledge and capability skillset we have, means we are frequently responsible for the design and delivery of large scale transformation agendas.
Want to work with the latest technologies, as part of a team helping international organisations transform their core business capabilities? Whether you’re working with on-premise systems, Cloud technology, or custom-developed solutions (to name just a few), your expertise will help clients deliver continuous improvement and innovation, from initial design right through to implementation and optimization.
Are you looking to return to the workplace after an extended career break?
For this role we can offer coaching and support designed for returners to refresh your knowledge and skills, and help your transition back into the workplace after a career break of 2 years or more. If this is relevant for you, just let your recruiter know when you make your application.
As a Manager within our Private Sector Operations team you will manage our team of service designers, process engineers, business model architects and cost transformation experts to help clients to transform their organisation across their end-to-end value chain. To be successful in this role you will be able to bring experience and expertise in managing and delivering large scale business transformation in your sector, and gain experience in new industries.
You will have relevant experience within either the Consumer, Life Sciences and Healthcare (LSHC), or Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) industries – be it across a spread of private sectors in a particular ‘operational domain’ or within a specific sector where you have real depth of experience. Your sector knowledge will allow us to offer our clients an external perspective and views that they can relate to.
You will help manage our people and our clients to deliver complex programmes, often working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ranging from strategy to technology and including operations, programme leadership, organisational design and change expertise from across Deloitte.
Our aim is to leverage the experience we have across our team and marry this with our experience in digital technologies, blending strategic thinking with technology expertise to develop and implement effective and efficient operational delivery models.
Deloitte practitioners are frequently the people in our clients’ programmes who drive a step-change improvement in the speed and quality of delivery.
The nature of the work varies but your work is likely to involve the following:
•Developing strategic business models – helping clients determine the optimum business or commercial model using customer centric design principles;
•Defining end-to-end customer and user journeys to inform how a business should pivot its organisation and operations to better meet customer and market demands;
•Developing an approach to research and analyse qualitative (e.g. interviews or user needs assessments) and quantitative (e.g. NPS results) customer information to draw out insights to inform end-to-end service design options;
•Advising clients on the impact of Digital on their business, and how they can look to embrace new technologies and ways of thinking to improve their business operations and teams;
•Managing Deloitte and client teams to understand their organisations to design and deliver Operating Models that are fit for purpose and successfully realise their strategic intention;
•Assisting client teams working across diverse parts of an organisation to identify challenges and develop solutions to address these;
•Undertaking strategic reviews of entire organisations or functions within organisations at a system, organisation, service or functional level;
•Leading client thinking in identifying areas of innovation that encourage new ways of working and enhance the existing operating model;
•Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them;
•Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

Your home office will be London, but this client-facing role provides lots of opportunity for travel in the UK and overseas.
