We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Project Coordinator for Product and Systems to join our Marketing Team at British Gypsum, based in East Leake (Loughborough). You will be delivering successful projects that take advantage of clear market opportunities within the target product portfolio. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skillful project delivery, that contributes to the achievement of British Gypsum’s market leadership ambition. The portfolio team within BG’s head office and central functions is at the heart of the business, providing best in class products and systems to customers, promoting their ranges internally and externally and understanding the market dynamics to help shape the future of the offer to the construction market. British Gypsum are the UK’s leading manufacturer of plasterboard and plaster board systems, so youll be working for a very reputable company.

What you’ll be doing as a Marketing Project Coordinator:

  • Project Co-Ordination Take charge of a number of specific projects for the target product portfolio. In coordinating the delivery of these projects. Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project being worked on, to complete the full set of project deliverables. Keep and maintain an up-to-date project pack for each project you are coordinating.Using initiate to proactively overcome obstacles, providing solutions and or options with recommendations to the business and not just highlighting problems once they have occurred. Flags any changes to the plan in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders.Work with colleagues across British Gypsum and Saint-Gobain, and both distribution and end-user customers, often spinning multiple plates at once.Confident in using mathematical skills to make sure you know where the project spend is going. Use analytical skills to be able to solve problems that may come up during a typical work day. Analysis of data to make decisions that affect the project on a regular basisTypically, you will be working on the following main project types:
  • Project Type: Portfolio Activity Database Understands the current portfolio and anticipated changes to map plan and the impacts of the change. Working with the portfolio team to understand and agree all project deliverables. Creates the project plan and works to complete deliverables signed-off by the appropriate team member. Has an up to date project status and next steps within the project pack. Delivers the project according to plan.
  • Project Type: Cost Reduction & Supplier Material Changes Understands the current and anticipated change scenarios for the project starting point and end-point and impacts of the change. Can work with the project sponsor to understand and agree all project deliverables. Creates the project plan and environment for that project to collect evidence of all deliverables signed-off by the appropriate team member. Has an up to date project status and next steps within the project pack. Delivers the project according to plan.
  • Project Type: Substantiations of Performance Claims Understands the current system performance claims and the anticipated new claim needed. Can work with the project sponsor to understand and agree all project deliverables as appropriate for that performance claim in that construction market sector. Creates the project plan and environment for that project to collect evidence of all deliverables signed-off by the appropriate team member. Has an up to date project status and next steps within the project pack. Delivers the project according to plan.
