ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, diverse and dedicated team of technical compliance experts. This role is to direct and manage assessment activities to ensure regulatory product compliance of BAT products to consumer product safety mandates, end-market legislations and internal/external standards for all markets in Europe and North Africa (ENA). This role is key to driving process improvement activities in a high volume, high pressured environment and embedding best practices into business as usual.
What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?
This role will initiate and drive process improvements through the product assessors, ensuring prioritisation, faster accuracy and compliance of our products entering or on sale in ENA.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR Driving the delivery of accurate compliance outcomes according to KPI (Key Performance Indicators) Initiating and driving process improvements for efficient ways of working Analysing capacity planning information to identify and resolve process challenges or manage workload Ensuring assessment competency through the assessors is fit for purpose Ensuring supplier confidentiality is maintained according to NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) Embedding new assessment processes as per new product requirements Building strong working relationships with DRBU (Direct Reporting Business Unit) product managers to ensure effective prioritisation, planning and communication.
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE? Have you experienced a high volume, high pressured environment and driven process efficiencies to automate or reduce workload to enable faster ways of working? Do you have experience of ensuring product compliance to regulatory requirements? Are you familiar with the priority markets in ENA and the product portfolios of those markets?
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Regulatory product compliance experience in a highly regulated environment Knowledge of New Product Development process and the necessary compliance checkpoints and timelines required prior to product launch Knowledge of the diverse business processes and stakeholders in tobacco industry Awareness of one or more of the following regulatory environments: tobacco, THP (Tobacco Heating Products), Vapour Process improvement capability SAP and capacity planning tools experience Effective stakeholder management Scientific degree.
BENEFICIAL Working knowledge of EU TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) Demonstrate pro-active and effective management and guidance of others Product design knowledge across one or more nicotine products.
