Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a passionate, analytical and technical person who will support the labour planning function for the Surface Transportation (ST) Operations team. The ST Operations team manages disruptions in the Middle Mile network, supporting drivers and carriers all over Europe faced with unexpected events (poor weather, road closures, unexpected surges in volume, mechanical breakdowns, etc.) so that they can deliver packages safely and on time.

This person will work with stakeholders and data sources to recommend on-going weekly, hourly staffing plans and shift structures to meet service level agreements (SLA). The Program Manager - Labour Planning will be responsible for ensuring the ST Operations team meets SLAs by ensuring the appropriate staffing levels are available to serve the Middle Mile network work demands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the performance of site/sites within his/her portfolio with respect to hourly, daily, weekly optimal staffing.


The Program Manager – Labour Planning will also provide analytics support to site leaders, which will allow them to track site performance against the service level. He/she will collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement of workforce utilization and service levels. The successful candidate will react to changes in daily/weekly/monthly call volumes and handling times by determining the required staffing level changes to ensure delivery of service levels. The role will fit an analytical problem solver who is comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional customer experience, a high level of dedication, enthusiasm and motivation, and an ability to manage communication and relations with multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have an experience in production planning/labour planning and passion to relentlessly dive deep and improve the accuracy and efficiency of the planning process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A Masters / MBA in a relevant relevant field
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, PowerBI, MS Excel VBA).
- Previous experience within a Customer Service, distribution centre, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of Python, C# or other programming languages.
- Exposure to forecasting or labour planning.
- Experience of supply chain management and transportation concepts: forecasting, planning, optimization and logistics.
