What you will do

You’re going to be working in our Stockport manufacturing site which supplies leading water based fire suppression devices to major buildings across the globe.

As a Quality inspector you are going to be working as part of a growing team looking at the general processes on site looking for ways to add value and build the relationships we have with customers and suppliers.

Support the local implementation of the Worldwide Johnson Controls Management System (JCMS)

How you will do it

Ensure all items produced are to the specification and applicable drawings and that all material received is to the correct speciation and of the correct quantity,

To support the Quality Team on Quality Management or whole site, assisting in Investigation reports, using Lean Tools such as; Fishbone & 5 WHY’s,

To participate in non-conformance investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions where applicable.

To support in the KPI development for the Stockport site and to perform data analysis where required.

Maintenance of QA process documents (Work instructions, Sop’s etc),

Performing internal quality system audits.

Ensure the quality of all materials received and finished good dispatched are to the quoted specification, and follow all the Johnson controls.

Required

  • Experience within a quality based role
  • Experience of internal audits.
  • Person with a strong work ethic and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business
  • Relevant knowledge/experience of machining processes and tolerances.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
  • Experience using engineering measuring devices.
  • Uncompromising commitment to Quality
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all local levels of the organization.
  • Committed and supportive team player
  • Accurate worker who enjoys getting the details right.
  • Working knowledge/experience of faced paced assembly processes.
  • Good IT Skills, working knowledge of MS office.
  • 4 GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C minimum - in Math, English, Science & IT/CDT or equivalent
  • Preferred

  • ISO 9001:2015 trained
  • Experience working in Manufacturing Industries (eg. Engineering, Automotive, Chemical or Pharmaceutical)
