Registered Veterinary Nurse (Nights) - Shrewsbury

 Site specifics

 Our Shrewsbury site is rapidly growing and so we're looking to grow and improve our night team. In this position, you'll be a qualified veterinary nurse working as a sole charge nurse alongside an on-call vet. You'll be key to helping us provide 24/7 in-patient care and developing a new service.

 You'll be working in a bright and modern iconic glass building in a desirable location in the centre of Shrewsbury, overlooking the River Seven. 

We have 9 qualified nurses and 8 veterinary surgeons working at our Shrewsbury clinic. TTA's, BOAS surgery and hip replacements are regularly performed onsite and all need overnight support. We get to do lots of these ops because our price point is so affordable. We also have certificate holders and affordable fixed price inpatient care packages, so expect plenty of sick pets to nurse. 

Core Skills 

You’ll share our vision for working within a not-for-profit environment and you’ll be keen to work as part of a highly skilled and experienced team while committing to providing the highest standard of care to owners and their pets. Our RVN’s will also have; 

  • RVN qualification
  • Excellent technical capability
  • Work well as part of an experienced team and alone 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with clients
  • Strong organisational skills, open, honest and trustworthy 
  • Experience of working in a busy and fast-paced surgery is essential
  • Experience of operating a night service desirable
