    We are looking for someone like you to become our all-new RELEASE ENGINEER and join our passionate and talented Build team, where we are building on the years of success that Rebellion has enjoyed.

    Release Engineer role:

    The Release Engineer is a new role dedicated to ensuring our games are released using a stable infrastructure & pipeline. You will deal with hard ware failures, and updating software to allow for their smooth integration. As part of the Build team, you will play a key role in monitoring and maintaining infrastructure and providing feedback on how pipelines for current and future projects can be improved for better reliability and ease-of-use.

    This role would suit someone who has experience in develop and release processes for at least one multi-platform game.

    The Rebellion Build team support the build and release process and infrastructure for all Rebellion games currently in development.

    Key Outcomes:

  • Maintenance of the systems stability
  • Develop processes to minimise iteration times and provide a high quality and high-availability continuous integration and testing service to help reliably release milestone builds
  • Responsibilities

  • Use established pipelines (e.g. scripts, Jenkins jobs, Perforce, C++ build processes) to ensure game teams can deliver releasable builds on schedule
  • Advise game teams on how to make best use of existing processes
  • Review and maintain internal documentation
  • Perform maintenance and fixes for established pipelines in response to changing projects requirements
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure (e.g. build server hardware capacity and reliability) needed to deliver releases
  • Provide feedback on how pipelines for current and future projects can be improved for better reliability and ease-of-use

    Requirements

  • 2+ years previous experience in a similar role
  • Continuous Integration
  • C++ Build environment
  • Development and Release process for at least one multi-platform game
  • Continuous Integration server, such as Jenkins
  • Perforce administration
  • Monitoring tools for Windows and Linux systems
  • Jira and Confluence
