You will be selling legal technology solutions into law firms and large corporates. Even though many of the clients - and maybe even specific stakeholders - you will be selling to will have an existing relationship with our client this role is to be treated as a new business role given the scope of our client's overall service offering.
You will be selling services that support corporates and their legal teams throughout document review processes, fully integrated Contract Management solutions and bespoke recommendations that help to set out the basis of a long-term managed service or assist analysis during M&A transactions.
This is a senior role in the business and requires a committed Senior Business Development Manager/Assistant Sales/Business Development Director who is seeking to help build the business over the long term
You will be expected to develop the team's Discovery and Contract Management capabilities alongside taking the lead role in new business generation
You will be working directly with clients throughout the business development lifecycle and developing long term client relationships
With a continual focus on results, you will be able to identify additional opportunities and have responsibility for securing further business and downstream revenues
The Successful Applicant
Our client are in need of an extremely polished, senior sales professional who will ideally have a thorough understanding of - and be experienced in - selling legal technology/software solutions. Coming with a legal technology background you will be new business-focused, incredibly conusltative and and working in a professional services environment working in a 'business within a business' given the division you will be working for.
You will have a proven B2B sales track record ideally within the legal/legal technology/software industries
Drawing on your legal and commercial experience, you will understand our client's client needs and creatively apply technology solutions to deliver sustainable benefits
Experience selling into Law Firms, the wider legal space and Legal Departments of Large Corporates
New business-focused with a consultative style - our client need a hunter mentality but a measured approach
Proven interest and experience in the convergence of technology and the law
Adopts a strategic thinking approach and is recognised as a trusted business advisor by key client contacts
Ability to scope propositions that lead to profitable delivery of engagements
Proven track record of meeting business development targets
Proven stakeholder management skills as well as excellent communication, presentation/proposal writing skills
Desirable - A good understanding of the eDiscovery market
Desirable - Experience as a sales practitioner in the technology sector
Desirable - Consulting services experience and project delivery within a large consultancy firm
What's on Offer
Our client are looking to pay £80-90k base salary with fantastic earning potential in commission. Furher details around OTE to be discussed at interview.
