About The Role

EL&N are seeking an energetic and experienced Senior Barista to join their team. The purpose of this role is to assist the EL&N management and kitchen team in running the daily operation to ensure a positive and safe working environment. You will provide great service and go above and beyond to help deliver a great guest experience.

As a Senior Barista your key responsibilities include:

  • Work with the team closely, to drive team Moral and Happiness.
  • Support your team in running a great shift and ensure that all dishes you create are presented on spec to EL&N Standards.
  • Carry out your role through the values of EL&N.
  • Follow the rules and regulations of the Brand.
  • Communicate with the team to ensure any updates regarding product is informed and guest expectation is met.
  • Escalate any issues to your line manager on duty, to ensure that guests expectations are met.
  • Ensure that our guests have an amazing experience.
  • Give guests a warm welcome and acknowledge when they leave.
  • Have full understanding about brewing methods, beverage blends, drinks preparation, and presentation techniques to improve drink quality.
  • Educate Guests by presenting and explaining the co­ffee drink menu; answering questions. (brewing equipment, standards, maintenance and highlighting the di­fferences between items and educating Guests about brewing methods.)
  • Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning schedules and ongoing diligence during the shift and in set up and clean down.
  • Keep the bar well stocked throughout the service. Some drinks items needed by a bar must be prepared before they can be stocked and must be prepared frequently so that they stay fresh. This responsibility often falls to the barista. They prepare drink garnishes, such as hot and cold drinks, flowers for the juices and smoothies, tea, Nutella and chai spiced latte. The barista must also arrange the oldest items to be used first in order to minimize waste.
  • Be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times if required.
  • Welcomes Guests by determining their coff­ee interests and needs.
  • Keep the bar equipment in best possible condition and be confident in its operation
  • Support Manager to count and manage stock results on a weekly basis. Support daily invoicing and transfers being recorded correctly
