Senior Project Manager
An enthusiastic, experienced and technically knowledgeable Project Management Professional is required by Airbus Defence in the UK and could be based at either our MOD Corsham site in Wiltshire or Newport, South Wales and involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicant to be able to be security cleared to a UK SC level.
Reporting directly to the HO Project Delivery you will initiate & plan projects as a key member of the business winning campaign team before leading the project delivery phase to a successful conclusion.
This is a key role in a complex technical environment which requires a project manager with excellent communication & leadership skills. You will lead the delivery phase of high value, military communications projects subsequent to providing project planning expertise in the associated business winning campaigns.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsible for Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing of projects delivering complex secure communications infrastructure and services.
Responsible for managing projects in accordance with the Airbus project lifecycle standards. Note that the Airbus standards adopt the lifecycle guidance recommended by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Accountable for the quality, cost and schedule performance of the project.
