The Capital Projects Team work on refurbishment and new build construction projects across the Blue Light, Health, Education, Retail and commercial sectors with values up to £15 million on a national basis. The activities we undertake range from the design and delivery of complex refurbishment and new build projects up to the value of £15m, where we are able to utilise our team's broad skills base, through to small regional projects for valued customers.
Kier Specialist Services are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our passionate Capital Projects Team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor your role will be key to the successful commercial delivery and profitability on a range of contracts in London and the South East of England.
Your time will be a spent across our primary office location in Loughton with a requirement to spend time working on the sites, along with the flexibility of working from home. Projects range in value from £5m to £10m and predominantly cover cladding replacement to existing occupied buildings on a construct only or design and build basis.
As an integral member of the Capital Projects workstream, you'll be responsible for multiple projects including cost control, maximising value, minimising future liabilities, project VCR/ELF reporting and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety. In this exciting role, you will provide commercial expertise, guide other members of the commercial team, whilst carrying out the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, monthly reporting and workstream performance data. Your involvement on a project will start during the pre-construction stage and continue through to completion on site and the closure of the defects period and final accounts.
What do we need from you?
Can you do it? Yes, you can - if you have a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, excellent organisation skills, proven time management, commercial focus and drive - ideally alongside some Quantity Surveying experience with Cladding, Construction works and Housing Maintenance.
