As a SIGNALLING CONSTRUCTION MANAGER, you will have the following accountabilities
To safely deliver signalling, telecoms and LV (signalling power alterations and points heating) works associated with minor works framework and other projects in the region of the Span of Control
Win work within Minor Works contract areas
To deliver the works described to time and budget
Project reporting and team briefings
Work with other areas of the Signalling Delivery Unit (especially within the adjacent Minor Works area) to symbiotically support each other in terms of resources and improvements during peaks and troughs of work across contracts
Sales in line with the above growth strategy to a sustainable level of 2.5m per annum
No overruns
Deliver signalling element of the unit rate below budget
Consistent lessons learned and improvements raised and implemented to create efficiencies
Attend operational team meetings with Minor Works Framework Project Director to report on performance of the unit
Attend technical briefings
Feedback and symbiotic support across contracts
Team ethos both in the within the Signalling Delivery Unit

Who were looking for

You will have the following qualities and experience
Numerate and literate
Good computer operating skills with knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
Ability to drive
Good management, leadership and communication skills
Skilled in collaborative working
Open to travel within the role predominantly with the area as defined within the Span of Control
Be confident and comfortable in front of clients and working on client premises
Self-starter, motivated and an excellent work ethic Minor works (maintenance, spot renewals)
Valid PTS with AC/DC
APM membership
Extensive knowledge of railway signalling systems and sub-systems project delivery and engineering assurance
Knowledge of appropriate industry standards relating to signalling and telecoms works
Experience in project management in signalling & telecoms within rail
Awareness of principles of risk assessment
Good knowledge of health, safety, quality & environmental standards
Application of CDM Regulations
