We're looking for a software engineer to join our tight-knit Integrations Product Team. The team uses technology to integrate the Mention Me platform with a wide range of partners and platforms.

Our vision, through our integrations, is to help our clients quickly realise the value of referral through interconnected data.

Our award-winning platform gives out rewards worth millions of pounds, serves hundreds of thousands users daily, and collects fascinating information about how people shop. Our platform is powered by PHP with React and we're embracing technologies like Typescript and GraphQL. Our integrations team work with (an awesome integrations platform) to connect the APIs of our partners and clients with the Mention Me platform. Our team supports 15 integrations powered by our webhook delivery system with high reliability and is only looking to grow.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic software engineer who wants to contribute their solutions and ideas to help take referral to the next level! We operate the where small, multi-disciplinary teams of product managers, designers and engineers build products that move us towards our vision.

If you want to be involved in product and technology from the ground up in a small team that loves continuous improvement, this role could be perfect for you.

You are a software engineer, comfortable working with PHP and happy to help figure out the solution for how we make our integrations fantastic. Our challenges are not just rooted in code, but in the complexity of referral and how that maps to the goals of our clients.

In a typical day you'll be working on moving one of our integration projects forward.

On a project, you'll start by trying to understand what value we can add to our over 400 clients. Which integration would be the most valuable? Which partner opportunities should we pursue next? How can we put the user first? You'll work closely with our integrations Product Manager and our Partnerships team to gather information and develop a next step.

As the integration project moves forward, you'll build an understanding of the data available and the APIs of Mention Me and our partner's platform. You'll take that understanding forward together with the integrations team to build a robust technical solution that you and the team can support. You'll build on top of our webhooks platform, using to connect to other partners, and become the Mention Me expert in a range of third party technologies. Not all API's are equal - we hope you'll bring pragmatic opinions about how to make ours better and help our clients navigate challenging ones.

It's not over when your code is deployed. You'll be measuring the effectiveness of our integration and making informed choices with the data available to build improvements. You'll work closely with our client team to help make the integration successful through knowledge sharing, gathering feedback and monitoring metrics such as how many successful referrals the integration has driven.

Our list of essentials below is short, and we're looking for someone who can see themselves being successful in the role described above.

  • Experience with PHP in a commercial, agile software delivery, environment
  • Knowledge of webhooks and/or APIs - do you know what makes a good API?
