Your new role

We’re looking to appoint a brilliant Solutions Architect who will be responsible for interpreting and communicating our architectural strategy and turning it into tangible frameworks for our engineering teams to build. You’ll also be responsible for the delivery of change, offering thought leadership and guidance, empowering decentralized decision making and enabling a continuous delivery pipeline and devops.

At present we are transitioning to a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) model and within this you’ll be responsible for a number of Technical Architects as well as focusing on the solution design and projects in your business area, which for this role will be Community Pharmacy, CCMH and the Community side of our flagship product EMIS web.

In this role you’ll provide Technical Leadership which includes evolving architectural capabilities of our solutions, being a point of contact for complex technical escalations and teaching, mentoring and influencing colleagues to drive effectiveness in our agile teams. As well as working closely with a range of business stakeholders and teams you’ll also work with customers, suppliers and third parties supporting to define our technology infrastructure and decompose solutions and systems.

This is a great opportunity for a Solution Architect to join our market leading Healthtech organisation to support us with maintaining our existing applications whilst also modernising and migrating towards our cloud strategy.

Please note this is a remote based role however there may be semi-regular travel required to one of our collaboration hubs for meetings etc.

The team

You’ll report into our Technical Director, Suresh and eventually work as part of a team as per the SAFe model.

Who you’ll be

We want to make sure you’re set for success so the key skills we’re looking for in the role are below. We know not everyone ticks all the boxes and we’ll provide training on some of the areas if you’re the right person for the role.

  • Significant experience in similar role within architecture, ideally within healthcare or a regulated industry
  • Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure and a Microsoft background would be advantageous
  • Exposure to architectural frameworks such as TOGAF
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team of architects and accept input on your projects contribute to others
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions / Architect Expert / Azure Solutions/DevOps architect or similar would be advantageous
