As the Technical Lead you define the technology vision and design the digital experience for our scientists to deliver the business strategy and meet the ever-changing needs of growers. You set the technical direction for delivery teams to create value through digital platforms and the data they use. You will define this technical vision in collaboration with leaders across R&D and IT.

You will steer multiple squads across different countries with different cultures and in different time-zones. You will share a collective responsibility with your peers in the R&D IT Design Guild to drive Syngenta’s technology and data strategy to identify opportunities to better serve and delight growers. You will have an eye on the long-term perspective whilst always maximizing the flow of realized business value.

You will drive the digitization of R&D into business outcomes and ensure you stay on track with the focus on the right priorities. You will proactively engage across the IT organization and R&D with the teams that can contribute to setting the technology direction.

•Develops strong partnerships with R&D scientists in order to have full transparency and joint ownership of the technology strategy and progress towards it

•Ensure effective communications with R&D and the wider organisation to explain the R&D IT mission, highlight successes and ensure IT services are well known and understood by the business

•Proposes portfolio backlog items that will drive increased business value through technology changes
