With a long standing and rich history inextricably linked with the development and progress of the city of Belfast, the Belfast Harbour Commissioners are now looking for a Head of Engineering & Facilities Management. You will lead the Engineering and Facilities teams at the Belfast Harbour, strengthening the approach to asset management across Belfast, placing people and partners at the core of the strategy. Delivering high levels of customer service, technical standards and safety you will relentlessly drive to continuously improve the service the Harbour provides.



As part of this Senior level role you will provide leadership to the engineering and facilities teams, inspiring a high performance culture. Leading the management and maintenance of all assets and equipment you will develop the engineering function to achieve the highest standards and advocate a "service excellence" mindset.


Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and driving efficiencies through new technologies, you will promote safety and well being across your teams ensuring full compliance to all relevant legislative practices. You will implement improvement initiatives for the teams standard operating procedures, lead the risk evaluation of all engineering and facilities operations and prepare and manage annual budgets advising on lifecycle capital requirements for replacement/ refurbishment of assets.


You are likely degree qualified in Engineering / chemical/ manufacturing/ M&E, and have experience as an Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering in a similar infrastructure or manufacturing environment. You are a strong leader and have experience developing high performance Engineering teams as well as the ability to deliver cultural and organisational change. With a background in lean/ continuous improvement cultures you are a strong communicator able to develop collaborative relationships.
