Principal - Associate Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Projects
Due to a number of recent project wins, we are working on behalf of a well-established, international M&E Design Consultancy who are looking to expand their London office with a Principal - Associate level Mechanical Design Engineer with data centre experience from a building services background.
The Principal – Associate Mechanical Engineer will have prior Data Centre project experience or have experience working on Critical System Projects, Large Scale Commercial, High-Rise Office, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and is interested in getting into Large Scale Data Centre Projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Principal - Associate Mechanical Engineer will be a lead member of the team working alongside the Directors.
- Assisting with design development on high value mission critical data centre projects.
- Training and mentoring the Junior Engineers in the team.
- Representing the client at Design Team and Client Meetings.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- Qualified to MEng or BEng Degree level or equivalent in either mechanical engineering or building services engineering.
- Relevant experience as a Principal or Associate level Mechanical Design Engineer within a consultancy is essential.
- The Principal - Associate Mechanical Engineer will ideally hold Chartered status through CIBSE or IMechE however not essential.
- The Principal - Associate Mechanical Engineer will have experience of working on hyperscale data centre projects ideally although major healthcare or pharmaceutical project experience would also be considered.
- Experience within a client facing role is essential for the successful Associate Mechanical Design Engineer.
