Talent International are working closely with a technology business in Cheshire to recruit a Principal Software Engineer to work on a range of web and cloud based projects and products, including extensive re-platforming and modernising of their current enterprise scale SaaS products.

You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders and be a subject matter expert and use your knowledge and experience to create high quality software designs, drive the product and technology roadmap forward whilst leading the engineering team from a technical perspective.

This is not a management role but you will be expected to coach and mentor less experienced engineers with best practice, architectural patterns, design patterns and translating complex design concepts to the engineering team. This team have plans to grow significantly and with a leadership team who genuinely believe that technology will drive their growth, you’ll be in the right place to be able to progress with the business.

You’ll ideally have current or previous hands on experience working in an Agile / TDD environment using technologies such as C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, SQL, RESTful API and Azure, alongside some additional technologies and methodologies such as IoT, DevOps, CI / CD, Xamarin, Bootstrap, TypeScript and OWASP.

At the moment the team work remotely and collaboratively so it’s great if you’re local and can be with the team in person but if you’re further away and would prefer a more remote presence, that’s fine too. To be considered you will need to be based in the UK, eligible to work here and happy to commute to Cheshire at short notice if required.

You’ll get a salary up to £75,000 depending on experience, career progression, private medical, an employee assistance programme, 25 days holiday, pension scheme and several associated discounts.
