About the Team:

UserTesting is looking for a Staff Quality Engineer with a passion for innovation and collaboration. You will be contributing to the planning and execution of verification for ongoing product releases, as well as taking a leading role in the Quality team to help us scale and implement new processes. We consider Quality Engineers an integral partner of our development team, and that everyone on the team owns quality.

The right candidate will collaborate effectively as part of a wider engineering team with a focus on SaaS projects. As an engineer at UserTesting you will be part of a passionate team that works effectively as a distributed group.

The Opportunity:

  • Leverage your years of experience to continue scaling and improving UserTesting’s Quality processes.
  • Help drive our contract testing methodologies.
  • Act as subject matter expert and contribute to ongoing test automation work within the Quality team.
  • Measure and report test automation metrics, including code, function, and test case coverage.
  • Leverage your strong technical skills to bolster and expand our Quality team’s effectiveness. Research and suggest new/better tools as needed
  • Occasionally test product functionality and investigate potential product defects.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor Quality Engineers in testing and documentation best practices.
  • Work alongside other Quality leadership roles and help define/drive roadmap.

What We’re Looking For In This Role:

  • Strong background in Software Quality concepts, process, and testing types.
  • Highly competent coding knowledge, as this is a technical position (Ruby/Rails knowledge is a bonus).
  • Technical automation testing/framework experience
  • Experience working at all stages in the software development life cycle.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with distributed remote teams.
