Business Development Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to contribute to generating sales for our client – an extremely successful training provider, specialising in training a variety of sectors, from Healthcare to Health and Safety. You will be responsible for closing training deals over the telephone and face to face, maintaining excellent customer relationships.

An effective predominantly phone based sales representative must be an excellent communicator and have superior people skills. They must be comfortable presenting a variety of training services over the telephone.

The goal is to help the company grow in existing and new sectors by bringing in customers and developing business.

Responsibilities

* Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about training services available

* Answer questions about training services or the company

* Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales

* Enter and update customer information in the database

* Take, process and confirm bookings in an accurate manner

* Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales

* Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information

Requirements

* Proven experience as a sales representative

* Experience selling training services

* Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota, preferably over the telephone

* Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (eg. Microsoft applications and bespoke databases) and telephone systems

* Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects

* Excellent knowledge of English

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection

* Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
