An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated dietitian to join our supportive department of 30 dietitians and 2 dietetic assistants within Adult Services at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.
The post will be based at Manchester Royal Infirmary, a large teaching hospital for Manchester University's Medical School. We have a well-established student training programme and you will be actively involved in student training with support to develop clinical supervisory skills. The post offers opportunity to develop clinical supervisory skills and support continued professional development. It is the ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their clinical skills whilst being able to contribute to clinical effectiveness within the Trust.
We are a large department consisting of the Acute and Rehabilitation, Renal team, the Diabetes team and a team of dietitians based at Trafford General Hospital. This post will be based in the Acute and Rehab team’s Haematology / Oncology team which consists of two Band 7 specialist dietitian and 2 other band 6 dietitians.
You will be encouraged to work as part of the multidisciplinary team and to participate in training, service development, academic and clinical meetings. A flexible attitude, good interpersonal and team working skills are essential along with an excellent knowledge of nutrition support including complex enteral and parenteral nutrition.
To apply for this post you must have a degree, postgraduate diploma or Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and current HCPC registration. Recent experience in critical care is essential and a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in an acute setting would be preferable.
