Thousands of businesses acquire and inspire their ideal audience with BrightTALK's AI-powered content and demand marketing platform.We are looking for talented and passionate Events Managers to join BrightTALK’s Managed Services Department, working on our Summits Team based in Manchester, Denver or Phoenix. The Summits Team is responsible for the management and logistics of our global, virtual (and sometimes physical) events. We have varied and challenging responsibilities and work alongside with almost every team throughout BrightTALK.The Event Manager will provide deep insight into our platform and our communities to structure and deliver high performing Summits. They will provide project management expertise throughout while working closely with Event Producers, Content Managers, Customer Success, Sales, speakers and sponsors. This role involves creating event programs and managing the whole summit process from planning, execution, follow up and data analysis. The Event Manager is also responsible for completing each project leveraging data to improve programs and empower sales opportunities.
Role Requirements & Responsibilities:
Working with Event Producer to deliver at least 2 Summits per month to deadlines within an 8 week production cycle
Taking end-to-end ownership of the summit process & delivery
Oversight of bookings, pipeline and revenue associated with the Summit business
Produce sales hype meetings/email enablement about upcoming Summits and opportunities
Provide updates to the Sales and Customer Success teams about upcoming Summits’ inventory, stats and other relevant information
Manage availability of Summit sponsorship inventory with Sales team to provide transparency of available sponsorship slots
Manage relevant event documents and databases for all Summits’ progress
Answer enquiries related to the Summits’ inventory, time slot availability, Summit pipeline and sponsorship availability, recognizing areas for improvement and strategizing solutions.
Identify target speaker personas with Event Producer and Content Managers for each Summit by reviewing topics within Summit, existing speakers, etc.
Collaborate with Event Producer to identify and recruit speakers and partners
Elevate new speakers in line with BrightTALK’s speaker vetting process and maintain the Speaker Bureau
Train new presenters on the presenter platform
Conduct live day support with each presenter as needed
Project Management:
Follow established workflows to ensure successful events
Manage Wordpress Summit landing page
Manage all summit deliverables and timelines efficiently
Liaise with and fully brief thought leaders/speakers, acting as a point of contact and general project manager and ‘face’ of the Summit
Lead post event review and provide summaries for internal teams
Lead internal communications before the event and during live day(s)
Prepare and send out post-Summit data recaps
Provide recommendations on improving the Summit experience for clients and users
