Prison Nurse – RGN/RMN

Sensible Staffing are looking for Prison Cleared RMNs/RGNs to work in the North East of England

The role of a Prison Nurse is to perform nursing tasks in a primary care setting. To ensure they provide adequate health care to patients by assessing, diagnosing and treating them accordingly. You will need to:

To ensure the health and well being of all patients in the prison;

Administering medicine to patients when needed;

Triaging and holding clinics;

Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information;

Promote best practices in health and safety and security;

Assist in maintaining and developing service;

Contribute to quality improvement;

Promote peoples equality, diversity and rights;

Work autonomously with minimum supervision;

Applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes;

Experience & Requirements:

Previous experience working within a Prison is essential;

NOMS Prison clearance essential;

Up to date NMC registration;

DBS check within the last 6 months but not essential
