Sensible Staffing are looking for Prison Cleared RMNs/RGNs to work in the North East of England

The role of a Prison Nurse is to perform nursing tasks in a primary care setting. To ensure they provide adequate health care to patients by assessing, diagnosing and treating them accordingly. You will need to:

  • To ensure the health and well being of all patients in the prison;
  • Administering medicine to patients when needed;
  • Triaging and holding clinics;
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information;
  • Promote best practices in health and safety and security;
  • Assist in maintaining and developing service;
  • Contribute to quality improvement;
  • Promote peoples equality, diversity and rights;
  • Work autonomously with minimum supervision;
  • Applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes;
  • Experience & Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a Prison is essential;
  • NOMS Prison clearance essential;
  • Up to date NMC registration;
  • DBS check within the last 6 months but not essential
