A primary school known for its inclusive approach is looking for a Graduate with a strong understanding on mental health, to join them as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

Located in Lambeth and only a few minutes walk from a Northern line station, they are in a fantastic location that makes them accessible from a large part of South London.

***SEN Teaching Assistant post available immediately or for a January start
***Nurturing primary located in Lambeth, South West London
***£70-90 per day dependent on experience
***Long Term, Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant role
***Join other like minded Graduate TA and SEN Teaching Assistants!
***Work closely with the SENCO and other agencies such as the Educational Psychologist
***SEN Teaching Assistant role only open to graduates with a firm interest in SEN

The Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is currently in need of a graduate that has a either a strong theoretical understanding of mental health due to their degree and/ or has practical experience in this field. As their SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support a child who is 7 years old and is extremely emotionally challenging. They need someone who can see past the challenge and be curious about the underlying trauma. This SEN Teaching Assistant role requires huge amount of patience, resilience and a genuine passion for wanting to help those with social and emotional mental health needs, overcome their barriers to learning.

We would be particularly interested in graduate with a degree in Psychology that perhaps has a MSc in something mental health related or has covered topics such as trauma. (Please make this known in your covering letter, if you have)

This is a niche SEN Teaching Assistant post that would be well suited to those with ambitions of becoming a Educational or Clinical Psychologist or Counsellor.
