At Affinity Trust all of the people we support have a learning disability but many have associated health needs, dementia, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disability or mental health needs.

Being a support worker means you are integral to the day to day lives of the people you support, helping them with various activities such as assistance with personal care, household chores, meal preparation, leisure activities, social inclusion and maintaining health and well-being.

Skills & Experience

Joining our team at Affinity Trust will allow you to make developments with your career in the Health and Social care sector; whilst contributing towards improving the quality of life for the people we support. This role will involve tasks associated with day to day living, which may include:

  • Personal Care
  • Household chores
  • Meal Preparation
  • Leisure Activities
  • Social Inclusion
  • Maintaining health and well-being
  • The position will mean no two days are the same, and whilst is it essential that you are assisting with daily activities our Support Workers will also be involved in community based activities and events. The ideal candidate will be caring and compassionate with a natural joy for life; someone who can provide positive engagement to encourage independent living.

    Being a driver is desirable however not essential to be considered for this post. You will also need to be able to work flexibly across a 7 - day rota to include early mornings, evenings, bank holidays, and weekends.
